Jennifer McCloskey is a recent graduate of Oregon State University, she received her BFA in Applied Visual Arts in 2020. She creates works that communicate her experiences as a ballet dancer. Using large scale formats, expressive mark-making, and endurance performance, she makes mixed media works. She found her love of dance during her time in college, when she danced with the nonprofit student dance company Willamette Apprentice Ballet. Her fascination with movement lead her to incorporate the aesthetics and experience of dance into her artwork.
